#056 Speeding Up While Being Passed

Everyone has their own style of driving, whatever that may be. One thing I will never understand is why people speed up when they're being passed. Is it because you are pissed off that someone is passing you? Is it embarrassing for you to be passed? Do you feel like you're better than them and they shouldn't pass you because you're "going fast enough"?

Whatever the reason that you're speeding up while someone is passing you, STOP IT. You're only increasing the danger of the situation, and chances are you're going to catch up to them at the next off-ramp or traffic light anyways, so who cares if they pass you? Just let them go. Wouldn't you rather let them pass you than be tailgated the entire duration of your trip? When someone attempts to pass you, typically it is when they feel it is safe to do so. Don’t be a dick: just let them pass.
