#025 Slurping

In a restaurant, office, or any other public place where food and beverages are served and/or consumed, it’s generally preferable for all surrounding persons to consume their food in an appropriate manner. One example of an inappropriate manner is slurping.

Slurping is inappropriate at any age. I don’t care if you’re 3 or 93… it’s just not acceptable. What you do in the privacy of your own home is completely up to you, but when you bring it out in public it becomes a major nuisance and source of noise pollution.

Why do people slurp? Probably because the food they’re trying to eat/drink are too hot. Here’s a thought... if it’s TOO HOT to eat/drink, maybe you should *gasp* WAIT to consume it.
