I live in a somewhat rural area, therefore I must drive wherever and whenever I want to go somewhere. Since I do so much driving, I become accustomed to my car and the way I leave everything in it – including the radio volume.
I always make sure to either turn off or turn down the radio volume down to at least a moderate volume, but I prefer to leave it very low so that it doesn’t startle me when I first turn the car on. Sudden, loud noises in general make me jumpy and in some cases really startles me, but it drives me insane when someone borrows my car and they leave the radio up really loud. I don’t have a problem listening to the radio at a high volume, just don’t leave it that way when you leave my car with me.
I concur. My case: the country station. *retch*
